  • What is MoRue's Den?
    MoRue's Den is a hostel located in San Teodoro, Mabini, Batangas that serves as a gateway to nature, offering proximity to marine life, vibrate coral reefs, and breathtaking sunset. We can house a maximum capacity of 16 people and offer a wide range of accommodation that fits your budget and preference. MoRue's Den also offers safe space for everyone, conducting talks about mental health awareness, and aim to help people who struggle with their mental health.
  • How do I get to MoRue's Den from Manila?
    We are one Google Maps / Waze search away! Just pin "MoRue's Den" to locate us. By public transport: Take a bus or van from Manila to Batangas City (approximately 2-3 hours, depending on the traffic) From Batangas City, ride jeepney going to Mabini Rotunda From Mabini Rotunda, hail a tricycle going to San Teodoro Proper, near the old Barangay hall.
  • What type of accommodations do you offer?

  • What amenities are available in the hostel?
    All guests are welcome to use the shared amenities within the hostel: Free WIFI 2 shared toilet and bath Bonfire area Camp ground Outdoor shower Free parking space Kitchen use - with fee
  • Is MoRue's Den beach front?
    MoRue's Den is not beach front, however, the beach is just about 3-5 minutes walk away.
  • What are the check-in and check-out times?
    Check in : 2:00 PM Check out: 12:00 NN You can check in as early as 8:00 am, just inform us ahead of time!
  • Do you offer day tour packages?
    Yes, we offer day tour packages from 10AM to 4PM for just ₱200/pax.
  • What about night tour packages?
    Yes! You can avail of night tour packages from 5PM - 10PM for ₱250/pax.
  • Can we cook during our stay at MoRue's Den?
    Yes, you can make use of the kitchen with a fee of ₱100/pax per night. This includes: Gasoline use Range use Kitchen Utensils use Plates, spoon, and fork At MoRue's Den, we practice CLAYGO (Clean As you Go). Please clean up after you are done using the kitchen. Please also note that the kitchen may be shared with other guests.
  • Can I bring my pet/s to MoRue's Den?
    We're delighted to welcome you and your furry companion to stay with us! Pets are welcome in MoRue's Den as long as you are in compliance with our pet policy in order to maintain guest satisfaction. (Please visit the Policies & Guidelines section to learn more).
  • What activities can guests enjoy during our stay?
    Guests at our hostel can enjoy a variety of activities including: Bonfire Watching the sunset by the shore Introductory freediving lessons Sunset viewing at Mt. Gulugod Baboy Snorkeling Beach picnics
  • I want to try freediving during my stay. Do you offer freediving lessons?
    We are offering accommodations with freediving lessons for ₱3,800/pax. This includes the following: Theory lessons for Intro to Freediving 3 open water sessions Safety gears (fins, mask, snorkel, and buoys) Freediving coach fee Raw GoPro video footages Shared room accommodation Full board meals (Day 1 lunch, dinner, breakfast, and day 2 lunch)
  • Do you offer freediving lessons to day tour guests?
    Yes, we have day tour lessons for intro to freediving. However, you need to book this ahead of time. Intro to freediving lessons will depend on the coach's availability.   • Can we use the bonfire area?
    Absolutely! You can make use of the bonfire area free of charge during your stay with us. You may bring your own marshmallows or hotdogs to roast for a more fun experience! Just ask one of our staff to help you set up the bonfire.
  • Is the beach area free?
    Yes, it is a public beach, and no one will charge you anything. But please note that since this is a public beach, there is no lifeguard on duty and guests are responsible for their own safety when visiting the beach.
  • When is your next mental health talk?
    We are holding mental health talks and other mental health related events at least once every quarter! Make sure that you follow us on Facebook and Instagram to keep yourself updated!
